Video Interviews Launch: Personal Memories of European Integration
The EUxFUTURE project explores European history through the voices of those who experienced it firsthand. Marking 75 years since the Schuman Declaration, the project brings together younger and older generations to reflect on how European integration has shaped everyday life across decades.
We are happy to share that a series of video interviews is now available on the EUxFUTURE YouTube channel. Recorded in five participating countries, the interviews focus on personal memories, offering individual perspectives on Europe’s transformation.
To guide viewers through these stories, all interviews followed five main thematic blocks:
-
Introductions
-
Early memories and perceptions of Europe
-
Changing views on European integration
-
Personal and societal impact of the EU
-
Looking to the future
The videos are organised into five separate playlists, one for each participating country. This structure allows viewers to explore stories by country, compare perspectives across borders, or follow specific themes through different personal narratives.
Rather than offering definitive answers, the video interviews invite reflection. They encourage viewers to listen, compare experiences, and consider how Europe’s past continues to influence the present — and the future.
