Intergenerational Dialogue and Shared Memory at the University of Málaga: A New EUxFUTURE Encounter

Iniciativa Internacional Joven organized a new event within the framework of the EUxFUTURE project, which was kindly hosted by the Faculty of Education Sciences at the University of Málaga in Spain. The international roundtable became a deeply meaningful space for dialogue, reflection, and shared learning.

Bringing together participants from different generations, the discussion offered a unique opportunity to approach European history through lived experience. This intergenerational exchange fostered active listening, participation, and collective learning as essential tools for better understanding our present and shaping a shared European future.

In parallel, the Faculty’s main hall hosted for an entire week the photographic exhibition “Celebrating 75 Years of Shared European History.” Created by the project’s partner organisations, the exhibition visually explored key milestones in the construction of the European Union, highlighting the value of shared collective memory and the stories that connect us across borders.

This encounter reaffirmed the importance of creating open spaces where history is built through people and dialogue. We would like to warmly thank everyone who contributed, shared their experiences, and made this exchange possible.
